Relaunch Update

You knew that Healthcare was important last year when you backed our Healthcare themed Science Fiction anthology on Kickstarter or signed up for the mailing list. But now, in the midst of a global pandemic made worse by those who reject scientific advice, we need this book more than ever.

And now we’re almost ready — Just two more weeks! Mark your calendars, September 15 is the date, at 10am PDT (5pm GMT).

Rest assured, all our original writers have re-confirmed, including David Brin, Seanan McGuire, James Patrick Kelly, Annalee Newitz, Paolo Bacigalupi, and Caroline M. Yoachim, and others. And this project remains a charitable endeavor.

Plus an additional writer has joined the roster! I’m very excited to announce that Tananarive Due will contribute “Carriers,” her post-pandemic life story and sequel to “Herd Immunity.”

In recognition of the novel coronavirus, and because they may lose their largest source of funding, I’ve chosen to donate proceeds from this anthology to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. With your help, we can make a difference by supporting the global leader in the response to the worldwide pandemic.

Last year, backers asked for the option to give directly via the website. So, if you don’t want to wait, you can give to the project now. I’d like to raise a few hundred for market expenses and reduce the amount of the Kickstarter. Should the Kickstarter not succeed, I will use those funds to publish as many stories as possible online. You can back the project today on our Donation page..

So, get ready for September 15, or back the project now if you’re so inclined. Every backer/donor will receive a free story. You can make a difference to the future of Healthcare.
